Gokyo Lake

Gokyo Lake, located in the Khumbu region of Nepal, is a stunning glacial lake situated at an altitude of about 4,700 meters above sea level.

It is one of a series of six turquoise lakes that form the Gokyo Lakes system, the highest freshwater lake system in the world. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, including Cho Oyu and the Ngozumpa Glacier-the largest glacier in Nepal-the lake offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Gokyo Lake is a popular trekking destination along the Gokyo Valley route, providing an alternative to the classic Everest Base Camp trek while showcasing equally magnificent Himalayan scenery.
